Yesterday EMT Earl Taylor suffered a medical emergency while working his shift at the Honey Brook station, fortunately Earl was provided immediate professional emergency care and was promptly transported to a local hospital for evaluation by his co-workers. After undergoing a series of tests it was determined that EMT Taylor would have to be transferred to Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia for advanced care.

Currently EMT Taylor is in serious condition and undergoing further tests / treatment by the medical professionals at Jefferson with his wife Jackie at his side. He will be undergoing surgery in the morning. Eventually once medically stable EMT Taylor will be transferred to a rehab facility.

EHBEMS member Judy Stoltzfus has set up a GoFundMe campaign in an effort to offset some of the financial burden to EMT Taylor and his family. The ultimate goal being to completely cover the financial costs due to this horrible situation. The link to the GoFundMe has been provided below.

Earl is not only associated with EHBEMS but also works as a career EMT for the Washington Hose Company in Coatesville City along with being a volunteer EMS Lieutenant / Firefighter with Keystone Valley Fire Department where he has provided decades of service within the Pomeroy Fire Company prior to their multi-department merger to form KVFD. Earl also serves as Vice Chair on the board of supervisors for Sadsbury Township. Earl has truly dedicated his entire life to helping others.

A beef and beer benefit will be held for EMT Taylor on September 9th from 12:00-6:00pm with LIVE entertainment, great food and music. The venue is currently being selected to accommodate the expected crowd turn out to support such a great upstanding man, with more information on this amazing event forthcoming as it becomes available.

The entire EHBEMS family wishes Earl a full and speedy recovery, the link to his GoFundMe campaign can be found here....
