On September 18th, 2023, The Twin Valley Fire Department along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS were dispatched to the area of W. Main Street at the exit to Interstate 176 for an auto accident.

Battalion Chief Kachel who was on her way to WAWA came across the accident to find a 2-vehicles involved with all subjects out their respective vehicles. Battalion Chief Kachel triaged the scene and advised of 1 patient that needed to be transported to the hospital for their injuries which were sustained as a result of the accident.

Ambulance 189-1 arrived on location and assisted Battalion Chief Kachel with patient care while also requesting fire police to the scene. Rescue 69 with Chief 69 (Hornberger) on board made the response and advised that the Rescue crew could handle the fire police request as well. Rescue 69 arrived, and their crew handled the hazards on the vehicles as well as the traffic control around the accident scene.

Ambulance 189-1 transported 1 patient to an area hospital for their injuries. Rescue 69 remained on the scene to assist the police department while they investigated the scene and to await a tow company.
