On April 1st, 2024, Twin Valley Fire Department along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS were dispatched to the 100 block of Mulberry Court in Caernarvon Township Berks County for a gas leak inside with multiple sick people.

Ambulance 89, Ambulance 189, 89-20 (Welch) and the Twin Valley Fire Department units all made the response and were advised by the Chester and Berks County 911 Centers that the caller reported a hot water heater issue within the home. Ambulance 89 and 89-20 arrived and began triaging the scene for patients. Ambulance 189 arrived a short time later and they were given a patient for an evaluation. Twin Valley Fire Department units monitored the home and quickly mitigated the situation.

The situation was placed under control by Chief 69 (Hornberger) and the scene was turned back over to the homeowners. Ambulance 189 was cleared from the scene to handle another medical emergency within our district. The final Elverson-Honey Brook EMS units cleared the scene a short time later.
