Fire Alarm Gets Upgraded To A Working Building Fire In East Nantmeal Township

On July 20th, 2024, at 2:49 the Twin Valley Fire Department along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS and mutual aid were dispatched to the French Creek Golf Club for a building fire.

Twin Valley Fire Department was originally dispatched for a fire alarm at this location and arrived to find smoke coming from the eves of the building. The assignment was upgraded to a working building fire which added mutual aid to the assignment. Chief 69 (Hornberger) arrived and assumed command of this incident. Twin Valley Fire Department personnel began suppression efforts and as the mutual aid units arrived, they were given their assignments from Chief 69.

The fire was placed under control at 3:32 with all hands working to perform salvage, overhaul, ventilation operations. Ambulance 89-1 stood by while the firefighters operated at the scene. Chief 69 requested the Fire Marshal's and Belfor to the scene for an investigation and board up services.

Ambulance 89 was released from the scene by Chief 69 at 4:03.
