1 Vehicle Overturned On The Turnpike

On August 3rd, 2024, at 12:49 Twin Valley Fire Department along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS were dispatched to mile marker 303.2 EB PA Turnpike for an auto accident.

Twin Valley Fire Department units along with Ambulance 89 made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported a rollover accident with a subject trapped. The assignment was upgraded to an auto accident with entrapment which added Micu 287 (Uwchlan Ambulance Corp Paramedic's) to the assignment. Chief 69 (Hornberger) updated that the turnpike commission reported negative entrapment, and the Twin Valley Fire Department units were staged at the turnpike gate.

Ambulance 89 arrived to confirm the report and their crew started patient care while the turnpike commission directed traffic around the scene. Micu 287 was recalled as Micu 193 cleared a previous call and responded to the scene to assist Ambulance 89. The patient was assisted from the vehicle by bystanders prior to the arrival of Ambulance 89. Twin Valley Fire Department units were released from the call as their services were not needed. Ambulance 89 and Micu 193 transported 1 subject to an area hospital for their injuries leaving the Pennsylvania State Police on the scene to investigate the accident.

Ambulance 89 cleared the call at 14:31.
