Accident With Reported Entrapment In Morgantown |

On November 2nd, 2024, at 11:55 Twin Valley Fire Department along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS and Westwood Paramedic's were dispatched to the area of Morgantown Road and Main Street in Morgantown for an auto accident reported with entrapment. Tower Direct Paramedic's were committed to another serious medical emergency with Ambulance 189 in Honey Brook Township and were not available. Twin Valley Fire Department units along with Ambulance 89 and Micu 244 made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported a 2-vehicle accident with 1 subject confined in a vehicle. Twin Valley Fire Department units and Ambulance 89 arrived to confirm the report. Ambulance 89's crew began triaging the scene for potential patients and their crew requested 2 additional ambulances to the scene. Chief 89 Welch arrived and assumed the operations for EMS while assisting Ambulance 89's crew with patient care. Chief 89 cancelled the 2 additional responding ambulances which were from Tower Direct and as Micu 244 arrived they were given their respective patient by the 89 Ambulance crew. The entrapped patient was assisted from the vehicle by fire and EMS personnel, and that patient was given to Ambulance 89's crew. After packaging the patients by Ambulance 89 and Micu 244 transport was started to an area hospital. Twin Valley Fire Department units remained on the scene to assist the Caernarvon Township Police Department and to await the arrival of a local tow company. Ambulance 89 cleared the call at 13:04. |
