Vehicle Collides With Horse In Honey Brook Township

On December 23rd, 2024, at 18:11 Honey Brook Fire Company along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS and Westwood Paramedics were dispatched to the 1200 block of Suplee Road in Honey Brook Township for an auto accident.

Honey Brook Fire Company units along with mutual aid responded and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported a vehicle had struck 2 horses and 1 subject would need evaluated.

Ambulance 189 and Assistant 33 (Roming) arrived to confirm 1 vehicle had struck a horse with 1 patient to be evaluated. Ambulance 189 started to provide care to the injured subject while Rescue 33 arrived and handled the hazards on the vehicle. Unfortunately, the horse had to be euthanized on the scene due to its injuries.

Honey Brook Fire Company remained on the scene to provide lighting of the scene while the Pennsylvania State Police conducted an investigation of the accident scene.

Ambulance 189 cleared the scene at 18:55.
