Serious Auto Accident In Caernarvon Township-Lancaster County

On April 22nd, 2025, at 19:45 Caernarvon Township Fire Company (Churchtown) along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS were dispatched to the 400 block of Twin County Road in Caernarvon Township Lancaster County for an auto accident.

Caernarvon Township Fire Company units along with Ambulance 189 made the response and were advised by the Lancaster County 911 Center that they caller reported that a vehicle had went off the roadway and went into the woods. Additional callers had reported debris all over the roadway and no occupants were seen exiting the vehicle.

Caernarvon Township Fire Company units along with Ambulance 189 arrived and found a single vehicle down over an embankment with at least 1 subject out of the vehicle. Caernarvon Township Fire Company personnel held the command for this incident and requested a 2nd ambulance to the scene along with a medic unit. Upon further investigation of the accident scene a 2nd patient was discovered in serious condition.

Ambulance 89 was dispatched to the scene to assist as the 2nd ambulance. Ambulance 189 started transport to an area trauma center with 1 patient upon Ambulance 89's arrival. Caernarvon Township Fire Company units remained on the scene to assist with lighting of the scene and traffic control. Tragically 1 subject had succumbed to his injuries as a result of the accident.

All Elverson-Honey Brook EMS units were clear of the call at 21:14.
