On December 25th, 2023, Ambulance 189 was dispatched to assist the Westwood Fire Company on a serious auto accident in the area of Manor and Butterworth Roads in Valley Township.

Westwood units were on the scene with a 2 vehicle accident with 1 patient confined in a vehicle. Deputy 44 (Scott) held the "Route 82" command and requested 2 additional BLS and 1 additional ALS unit to the scene. Ambulance 37 and Ambulance 189 along with Medic 344 were dispatched to the scene.

Route 82 command reported that the confined patient was extricated from the vehicle and all patients were in the care of EMS. Ambulance 189 transported 2 subjects to an area hospital for their injuries which were sustained from the accident.

Westwood units remained on the scene to provide traffic control and assist the police department with lighting of the scene during the investigation.
