On April 3rd, 2024, at 3:50 am Honey Brook Fire Company along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS and neighboring agencies were dispatched to the 400 block of Lammey Road in Honey Brook Township for a reported house fire.
Chief 33 (Kern) along with the responding apparatus were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported the side of the house was on fire after a lightning strike. The caller advised that neighbors believed they had put the fire out.
Chief 33 arrived to investigate the situation and found the bottom of the "Delta" side of the house was smoldering. Ambulance 189 arrived and stood by while the firefighters operated on the scene. Lancaster Engine 49-1 was the first arriving engine and took the "First Due" Engine assignment followed closely by the Honey Brook Fire Company units.
Chief 33 scaled the assignment back to the Honey Brook and White Horse Fire Company units. The situation was placed under control by the Chief.
Ambulance 189 cleared the scene at 4:22 am. |
