On April 30th, 2024, The Honey Brook Fire Company along with Elverson-Honey Brook EMS and Westwood Micu 244 were dispatched to the 4000 block of Horseshoe Pike in Honey Brook Borough for an auto accident with entrapment and fire.
Honey Brook Fire Company units and Ambulance 189, Micu 244 made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center of a 3 vehicle accident with 1 operator reported entrapped and 1 vehicle reported on fire. Additional callers reported the fire to be extinguished by a civilian using a fire extinguisher.
Ambulance 189 was the first arriving unit to find a 4 vehicle accident involving two tractor trailers. Upon further investigation of the scene Ambulance 189 reported no entrapment and confirmed the fire had been extinguished. Honey Brook Fire Company units arrived to control the hazards on the vehicles and provided traffic control around the scene as Horseshoe Pike was completely blocked.
Ambulance 189 provided care to the patients and Micu 244 was recalled due to minor injuries. Ambulance 189 cleared the scene a short time later leaving the Honey Brook Fire Company units on the scene to assist the Honey Brook Borough police department and the Pennsylvania State Police with their investigation and to await the arrival of a local tow company. |
