On June 2nd, 2024, Caernarvon Fire Company (Churchtown), Weaverland Valley Fire Department, Elverson-Honey Brook EMS, and Tower Direct Paramedics were dispatched to the area of Turkey Hill and Hammertown Roads in Caernarvon Township Lancaster County for an auto accident with reported entrapment.
Caernarvon Fire Company units and mutual aid made the response to the scene and received additional information from the Lancaster County 911 Center of a two-vehicle accident with a vehicle on its side and someone trapped. Caernarvon Fire Company units arrived and set up command of the incident and requested a 2nd ambulance to the scene.
Ambulance 89 and Tower Direct Micu 193 arrived and triaged the scene for potential patients. The command recalled the Rescue Company as the patients were in the care of EMS. The Lancaster County 911 Center dispatched FIVEPOINTVILLE Ambulance to the scene as the 2nd due Ambulance. Once the FIVEPOINTVILLE Ambulance arrived OnScene they were given their patient by Ambulance 89's crew. Ambulance 89 and Micu 193 transported a patient to an area hospital for further evaluation. The Caernarvon Fire Company units remained on the scene to assist the police department with lighting of the scene and to await the arrival of a tow company.
