Continuing with many years of tradition, Chief Welch and EMT Welch, prepared a Thanksgiving meal for the crews on duty. This tradition is one way that we can show our appreciation to those who are spending their holiday protecting the community. The sacrifice to spend the holiday away from their families while so many are with family and loved ones deserves additional recognition. The dedication to work on a holiday makes the selflessness, hard work, and commitment that our members demonstrate every day even more remarkable.
These individuals are the backbone of our Emergency Medical System and we cannot thank them enough for the sacrifices that they make to ensure that help is only a call away. The compassion that they show should remind us how fortunate we are to have such a dedicated team keeping us safe. We hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
