Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS is proud to announce the addition of a brand-new 2024 Braun F-550 ambulance to its fleet. This state-of-the-art emergency vehicle will enhance the department’s ability to provide high-quality pre-hospital care to the communities it serves.
The new ambulance will be equipped with a Stryker PowerLOAD system, which improves patient and provider safety by reducing the risk of lifting-related injuries. This critical piece of equipment was obtained through funding from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG), demonstrating the department’s commitment to securing resources that enhance emergency medical services.
The ambulance itself was purchased with 90% funding from a Local Share Account (LSA) Grant, secured with the assistance of Honey Brook Township. The generous support from this grant ensures that Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS can continue providing top-tier emergency medical services while minimizing the financial burden on the community.
“We are incredibly grateful for the grant funding that made this purchase possible,” said Matthew Welch, Chief. “This new ambulance, along with the advanced PowerLOAD system, will help our members respond more safely and efficiently to emergencies, ultimately benefiting the patients we serve.”
Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS remains committed to providing high-quality emergency medical care and continuously improving its resources to meet the needs of the community. The department extends its appreciation to Honey Brook Township, the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program, the Local Share Account, and all stakeholders who contributed to making this acquisition a reality.
