On April 9th, 2025, Elverson-Honey Brook EMS and Twin Valley Fire Department in coordination with Tower Health Reading Hospital hosted a Comprehensive Stroke Education Class. 15 Members of Elverson-Honey Brook EMS were in attendance tonight along with area responders from various other organizations.

Dr. Brandon Root from Tower Health's Comprehensive Stroke Center was the lead instructor for tonight's session. Dr. Root covered topics such as the care of pre-hospital strokes and the continued care received at the hospitals once the EMS units arrive at the facilities. After the session concluded attendees were able to hold a Q&A session with representatives from the stroke center while also reviewing some tools used by the team when retrieving clots.
