Today marked Day 1 of the Law Enforcement United “Road to Hope” ride.

Elverson Honey Brook Area EMS is honored to partner with Western Berks Ambulance Association in providing EMS support to Honor 37, the New York Division of Law Enforcement United. Law Enforcement United is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to honoring law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and remembering the survivors they leave behind. Their efforts support programs including The Road to Hope, Concerns of Police Survivors, and the Officer Down Memorial Page.

Honor 37 was named in memory of the 37 Port Authority Police Officers killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2001. The chapter rides from the 9/11 Memorial to Washington, D.C. during Police Memorial Week in honor of fallen law enforcement officers across the nation.

Today, our team met the group of cyclists in Highlands, New Jersey. Over the course of five legs, we traveled with them through dozens of small communities before ending the night in Southern New Jersey. Representing EHBEMS were EMTs Miller and Welch, Lt. Fina, and Chief Welch.

At every stop, the mission of this ride was clear. This is not simply a bicycle ride. It is a moving tribute to sacrifice, service, family, and remembrance. The warmth shown by the communities along the route was a powerful reminder that the fallen are not forgotten, and neither are the families, friends, partners, and agencies who continue to carry their memory forward.

We extend our sincere thanks to the hosts at each rest stop for their kindness, hospitality, food, water, encouragement, and support. Your efforts helped sustain the riders, support teams, and mission throughout the day.

EHBEMS is proud to play a small role in supporting this meaningful cause, and we are grateful to stand alongside Western Berks Ambulance Association, Honor 37, and Law Enforcement United as they continue the Road to Hope.
